The Bristol Music Foundation is a not-for-profit company with a board of 9 directors that aims to support the development of the music sector in Bristol and the South West through advice, education, support and mentoring, and through lobbying for inward investment from the government sector.

The Bristol Music Foundation (BMF) was formed in response to the increased awareness of government and non-governmental organisations of the need to invest in the Creative Industries sector.

The BMF is run by music industry professionals in Bristol and supports the development of music businesses and musicians in Bristol and the South West of England. The BMF is dedicated to encouraging partnerships and networks in the region and connects regional music forums across the South West via the South West Music Forum to provide a joined-up approach to activity, share ideas and knowledge, and raise the profitability and international profile of the music industry in the South West.
