Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival 2012
Recorded as part of the Encounters Short Film and animation Festival 2012, here is a selection of events and masterclasses offering expert advice, insights and industry knowledge, as well as a chance to catch up on some of the highlights of the festival.

Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival is the UK’s longest running competitive short film and animation festival. It presents one of the world’s best-known showcases and meeting points for emerging talent, and seeks to promote the importance of short film as a means to develop the next generation of filmmakers and animators. Encounters is also a gateway to the world’s most prestigious short film and animation awards: the BAFTAs, the Oscars®, the European Film Awards and the Cartoon d'Or.
In 2012 Encounters moved dates. Previously opening in November, the festival moved to 18 – 23 September, taking place at venues in and around the Harbourside area of Bristol.
