Jenny Sealey, the artistic director of The Garden, takes us back to the roots of this hypnotic aerial outdoor piece created by Graeae, the boldly inventive disabled-led theatre company in collaboration with world-renowned Melbourne-based performing arts company, Strange Fruit.

The Garden is gravity-defying outdoor theatre performed on four-metre high sway poles to create new stories in the air. Watch a troupe of nomadic story-keepers share stories of grace, growing up and imagination. For a brief moment in time, the keepers open their garden-ritual – a ceremony of renewal, transformation, and harmony.

Walking in the graveyard where the performance was conceived, Jenny Sealey tells of how the ground holds secrets – secrets that are there for us to discover… and to keep.
