Suspended high in the air on ropes, Ramesh Meyyappan talks about his latest production, Skewered Snails – the darkly comic tale of a dysfunctional family powerfully told through his extensive and imaginative physicality, and that of the talented cast around him.

For Ramesh Meyyappan rope work presents a new departure from the ground up; he explores his need to gain aerial skills to create a wonderful idiosyncratic narrative and challenge himself personally. What would drive a boy to take to the trees? What would it take to make an audience believe him?
