LLGFF: Bandaged
screening on:
Wed 15 Jul
A camp classic in the making, Bandaged blends old-style horror with forbidden love in a kitsch homage to Eyes Without a Face, recalling the experimental, symbolic, and sexually charged cinematography of Jean Genet and Kenneth Anger. Living with her domineering father in a remote mansion, Lucille attempts suicide in an act of desperation, but escapes death with hideous burns to her face. When her father hires a sultry nurse with her own mysterious past to look after Lucille, the close quarters breeds a dark passion between the women who embark on a torrid love affair.
