The awards ceremony at Encounters International Film Festival
Watershed
Volunteering
Festivals such as Encounters International Film Festival, Wildscreen and Afrika Eye rely on the help of volunteers. Whenever there are opportunities to volunteer for these and other specific Watershed projects details will be listed hereWatershed hosts a number of festivals across the year including Slapstick in January, Encounters International Film Festival in September, Afrika Eye in October, and every other year, the international Wildscreen festival in October. With such a wide breadth of different genres and themes covered you are bound to find a rewarding experience.
Volunteering at any of these festivals is an excellent way to experience the venue, see some breath-taking films, meet like-minded people and network with industry professionals. You will also pick up valuable skills in areas such as customer service, event support, ticketing management, guest liaison and get an exclusive insight to how a large-scale festival works. This experience should prove useful in your studies or work, and will be invaluable for your future career.
