Young Watershed
There is plenty on offer at Watershed for young people, children, families and schools including special screenings, workshops, masterclasses and volunteering opportunitiesFor families
Cinébabies: This weekly daytime screening enables parents/carers to see the latest releases in the safe knowledge that their babies (under 12 months) can cry and play without worrying other cinema-goers. We will provide a safe buggy park, nappy changing facilities and a bottle warming service.
Cinékids: A monthly film screening followed by a free workshop that picks up on the themes of the film for children aged under 14. Also look out for specialist programmes available in the holidays. For the latest screening please check the calendar.
For schools
RELAYS: In the run up to the Olympics Watershed is part of a programme of activity that explores the connections and overlaps between the worlds of sport and culture. As part of this project young people get valuable training in becoming citizen journalists and take part in media literacy workshops.
Specialist screenings: We can organise special screenings that tie in with issues that are relevant to the young people or the curriculum. To discuss a screening please email holly.mcintosh@watershed.co.uk
