Our final film has been completed - a short documentary overview of Theatre Sandbox featuring all of the participants and Katie Day on how the scheme worked:
Posted by Clare ReddingtonThanks to all those who attended the Theatre Sandbox Showcase on Friday. It was a great afternoon, with some interesting audience questions, and lots of opportunities to try out interactive elements of the projects. The core of the event was the screening of our documentary videos of the projects. These are online now over at dshed.net.
Posted by Katie DayThis Friday’s Showcase gets a nice mention from Lyn Gardner in her ‘What to See’ blog for The Guardian.
Tune into BBC2 at 1pm this Wednesday (29th September) for See Hear featuring Theatre Sandbox commissioned artists Tin Bath.
The programme will include filmed extracts of their test performance featuring early trials of their interactive captioning technology at mac in Birmingham back in August.
And the good news is that if you miss it at 1pm, you can watch it later on iplayer.
Posted by Katie DayAt mac, Birmingham for a ten minute performance and Q&A by Tin Bath, testing their new material and elements of the interactive captioning system. There is a mix of hearing and deaf people in the audience and there is unbelievable levels of translation going on (signing, lip reading and speaking) between the audience and performers.
