MacOS X Widget

Watershed now has a Dashboard widget available for Mac OS X users. The Widget displays the current day's events on at Watershed. Users can view a brief description of the event and its start times.

Dashboard is a feature of MaxOS X (10.4 or later) that enables small, simple applications, called Widgets, to be activated and hidden with a single key press.

How to use the widget

First download, install and launch the widget.

The Widget downloads data from Internet so ensure you have an active internet connection. Once the Widget has finished launching and downloaded the information it needs it will look similar to the image above.

Click on a thumbnail image, or the event title displayed below the thumbnail, to view a short description of the event. The start time(s) are shown to the left of the description. Each event will include a link to further information located on Watershed's Web Site. The Widget will display events in batches of three and you navigate between the batches using the direction arrows displayed either side of the thumbnail images.

When a new version of the Widget becomes available a link to the update is displayed in the lower left corner

Hover the cursor over the widget and a small 'i', information link, will appear in the lower right corner. Click this button, to flip the widget

As well as providing contact information, the reverse of the Widget also provides two additional features:

• Click the Add to Address Book button to add Watershed's contact information into your system Address Book. If Watershed's contact details ever change you will have the option of updating your Address Book entry.
• Click the Calendar Subscription button to subscribe to Watershed's What's On calendar in iCal. When subscribing remember to select the option to automatically update the calendar.

Once you are finished with the reverse of the Widget, click the Done button to flip the Widget and return to the front side displaying the events.
