The Muppets Christmas Carol

A Christmas menu, muppets, mulled wine & more...

There’s no denying it: markets have suddenly appeared, selection boxes are hugging the shelves, winter spice can be sniffed, the John Lewis ad is on the telly… it’s nearly Christmas. It’s 44 days away, in fact, but don’t worry – we’re here with a cracking line up of food, films, drinks and general merriness to see you through the festive season and beyond.

First up let’s cover the most important element – food! If you are looking for a cosy place to sit down for a relaxed meal with table service, overlooking the gorgeous Harbourside then come to us for your Christmas meal. £18.00 for two courses or £23.00 for three, including crackers, tea, coffee and biscuits.

Choose from a warming vegetable soup, spicy quinoa bites, chargrilled chicken salad or indulgent crispy smoked haddock bites to start. For the main feature we’ve gone all traditional with a confit leg of duck, Loch Durrant salmon or mushroom polenta gremolata, and to finish it all off how about a luxurious mousse or fruit and cream pastry?

You can go for two courses for £18.00 or three courses for £23.00 – prices include crackers, tea, coffee and biscuits too.

Check out the full menu here and make a booking by emailing Mark Horton. This menu is available for up to 30 people - if you have more people in your sleigh to feed then please contact Mark to discuss. Thank you.

You’ll find the perfect accompaniment to your food in our warming winter drink selection. From mulled wine, to mulled cider (with a dash of brandy, naturally), hot apple and Drambuie, amaretto mochas, Irish coffees and Baileys hot chocolate, we’ve got every taste covered – and with prices from just £3.50, you won’t have to part with too many (chocolate) coins.

For those wanting a bit of sparkle our ever-popular Ponte di Rialto Prosecco is a great, fresh addition to any Christmas celebration and elsewhere on the wine list we would definitely recommend Rare Vineyard’s Carignan Vieilles Vignes, a deep, complex red, and Houghton’s The Bandit Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon, a soft, fruity white.

Scrooged

We’re planning a feast of film for you as well. We’ve already got perennial favourites The Muppets returning in Crimbo classic The Muppet Christmas Carol, and for kids aged 6-11 we’ll be running a Build Your Own Snowdome Workshop on Sat 20 Dec at 13:00. This will include Christmas party music and festive snacks, and all for just £2.00 with a cinema ticket.

Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without a classic MGM musical and we’ve got Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra as Sky Masterson and Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls (from Fri 19 Dec) for you, plus Bill Murray will be the deserving focus of our December Sunday Brunches which will include, you guessed it, Scrooged.

We’ve almost forgotten the giving in between the food, drink and entertainment! Our Gift Vouchers are the perfect present for any film fan in your life, and are now available to buy online. It’s simple – they can be bought in any denomination, will last for up to 12 months, and can be redeemed against any film, or cards, DVDs, and confectionary.

So please join us for some relaxed festive cheer as we countdown to Christmas…
