The award is co-funded by a network of organisations who exemplify Bristol’s strength in Creative Technologies. This unusual approach to sponsorship and support reflects the collaborative nature of a city where companies are well networked, open and sharing.
The partners are: Aardman, BDH, HP Labs, IBM, IMDB, The Bristol SETsquared Centre, Sift, Team Rubber, Thirty Three, TLT LLP, Toshiba, University of Bristol, University of the West of England and Bristol City Council. The Award is produced by Watershed with support from Arts Council England.
Aardman, set up by David Sproxton and Peter Lord has a deserved reputation as a world leader in model animation. Their award-winning work leads the field producing a unique brand of independent film alongside work for broadcast and advertising spots. The studio has had seven Oscar® nominations, and has won four.
BDH is a multi-award winning team of directors, designers and visual effects artists.
We are a BAFTA, RTS and D&AD award winning design and direction company with an exciting catalogue of ‘creative content’, commercials direction and documentary films, many of which can be viewed at www.bdh.net
