At the beginning of July 2008 Constance went to Memory Maps: Image, Place and Story at the Faculty of English, University of Cambridge. It was run by the Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, who had a similar symposium in 2007. Check out http://www.crassh.cam.ac.uk/events/173/programme/

"I was interested as there seemed to be a strong fit with the sort of things we have done in the past, using mscape as a way of locating narrative in the landscape. What came through very clearly at this event was that none of the people involved had engaged in any way with the potential of technology to deliver the sorts of ideas they were talking about. It was a reminder for me that there are plenty of people out there who don't have any awareness of mobile and pervasive media, and how easily it could facilitate and fit with ways of 'performing' their creative work"
