The Digital Cultures Research Centre have launched the Pervasive Media Cookbook website. The Cookbook promotes the emerging field of Pervasive Media by laying out the production processes for 12 innovative experiments. It’s a Hackspace meets Jamie Oliver mash up - a mix of art and engineering, inspiring entry level producers to engage with the new world of location based media experiences.

The launch of the cookbook marks the final phase of the Digital Cultures Research Centre's AHRC Knowledge Transfer Fellowship project

The cookbook site is a collection of innovative Pervasive Media ‘recipes’, a mix of cutting-edge practice and ideas emerging from the research kitchens of the Pervasive Media Studio Bristol U.K. The Cookbook is also stuffed with Essential Ingredients and Top Tips - helping designers to deliver ‘the right media, in the right place, at the right time.’

Led by Jon Dovey, the project is a partnership between the University of West of England and the Watershed Arts Trust. Over the last two years we have been working with Creative Economy partners to define the language of Pervasive Media and support its market development. Through user tests, workshops, conferences and seminars, and working closely with SW digital businesses, the Cookbook project has reached over 400 people and is now available to you.

If you're thinking of cooking up your own pervasive media project why not visit the site for ideas, tips, recipes and inspiration http://pervasivemediacookbook.com/
