Jess worked in the Studio as a Research Associate involved in a number of DCRC projects. Jess was instrumental the development of the Pervasive Media Cookbook website and research for the final print publication. She is also an instructor, teaching on the Journalism foundation module at the University of the West of England, Bristol.

Prior to this, Jess was a Multimedia Journalism Research Fellow after completing her BA (Hons) in Journalism and Media and Cultural  Studies at UWE. For the past two years, she has also been heavily involved in the organisation and web output for Sideways Looks, the graduate film and media festival.
