you say I have an eye for it all-

but I tell you I have no control.

This brief text forms the narrative support structure from which I have worked on this, my first tentative exploration of the moving image. The films offer an investigation into the translation from still to moving image, using photographic negatives and projected slides to create layers in which to work. Whilst the visuals explore the transformation from the two- to the four dimensional, and are concerned with the form of each medium, the text represents an expression of the uncertainty we sometimes face when trying to define what constitutes a successful visual language.
