What's on (archive)
always something somewhere else by Duncan Speakman
Please note: this is an old event from Sept 2007
An interactive sound piece which invites you to take a walk around the physical environment outside Watershed. Using headphones and a handheld computer, you will seek out certain base materials such as glass, stone, and water. As you reach each material you will hear a fictional narrative about another person in a far off location standing next to the same material. A map is generated which enables you to return to the located stories. always something somewhere else touches on issues of climate change and global awareness.
This is a drop-in event, turn up with your festival pass to participate.
