Finn's Girl (18)
Dir: Dominique Cardona / Laurie
Colbert
Cast: Andrew Chalmers / Richard Clarkin 88 mins, 2007, Canada
Please note: this is an old screening, first shown in July 2008
With the intrigue of a thriller and the insight of a family drama, Finn's Girl portrays the lives of Finn Jeffries, a gynaecologist and abortionist, and her 11 year-old daughter, Zelly. Finn's partner Nancy has passed away, leaving her overwhelmed by the intensity of her job, unbridled grief and worry over Zelly’s defiant behaviour. Through it all, one thing remains certain: if their mutual grief doesn't bring Zelly and her mother closer together, it will drive them further apart than they ever imagined.
Filmic
A festival of film and music
We're mad about music and film. So much so we've created a brand new festival dedicated to this most enduring of relationships, and it all kicks off this weekend with a special focus on the music of the maestro himself: Ennio Morricone.

Now Showing
Roman Polanski's latest sees two couples try to talk through a minor incident amicably - with quite the opposite result! A hysterically funny descent into some very, very enjoyable bad behaviour.
