Wildscreenings: Ocean Double Bill (PG)
71 mins
Please note: this is an old screening, first shown in Jan 1970
Rethink the Shark
On a crowded beach a woman screams. An ominous shape appears out at sea. Panic follows as people swim frantically for the shore. Parents grab their children. A baby cries. But what is the danger? A short, surprising and above all, compelling conservation film with a clear message.
Ocean Voyagers
An evocative exploration of the familiar themes of motherhood and parenting in a world as unfamiliar as it is breathtaking. In the company of a precocious newborn humpback whale calf and his enormous 40 ton mother, we are taken on a very personal journey of discovery. A five-year labour of love shot in high definition on location in French Polynesia, Hawaii, Alaska, Newfoundland, the Bay of Fundy and the Gulf of Maine, the resulting film is as eloquently beautiful as it is luminously detailed.
All Wildscreenings are free; Subject to availability tickets can be collected from Box Office on the day of the screening. You can call Box Office on (0117) 927 5100, and reserve tickets but you must collect them on the day an hour before the start time of the screening.
NB: the advertised times are the actual starting times of each programme for all Wildscreenings.

Carnage
Showing Now
Roman Polanski's latest is a hysterically funny descent into some very, very enjoyable bad behaviour as two sets of parents try (and fail) to talk through an incident amicably.
