Wildscreenings: Chimpanzees: An Unnatural History (PG)
57 mins
Please note: this is an old screening, first shown in Oct 2008
Thousands of chimpanzees have lived amongst us for well over a century, mostly in solitary confinement. We dressed and trained them to be like humans. We sent them into space and infected them with diseases. Then we left an entire population of these captives behind. We neglected their care. We lost the records of their lives. We forgot their histories and the debt we owed them. Now a few dedicated individuals are working hard to give these long-suffering animals the freedom and sanctuary they so richly deserve.
All screenings are suitable for family viewing but this screening contains sequences which may be distressing for young audiences.
All Wildscreenings are free; Subject to availability tickets can be collected from Box Office on the day of the screening. You can call Box Office on (0117) 927 5100, and reserve tickets but you must collect them on the day an hour before the start time of the screening.
NB: the advertised times are the actual starting times of each programme for all Wildscreenings.

A festival of film and music
We're mad about music and film. So much so we've created a new festival dedicated to this most enduring of relationships, and this month there's a focus on the music of the maestro Ennio Morricone.
