Wildscreenings: Nature Tech Life Power (PG)
52 mins
Please note: this is an old screening, first shown in Oct 2008
By studying how nature solves energy and communication problems, scientists are trying to find new solutions to the world’s biggest problems. Biomemetics uses nature as a starting point for ideas. Life has existed on our planet for nearly 4 billion years and in that time natural selection has had to solve a whole range of problems in order to survive. In Lifepower we discover that nature has to be efficient in the way it uses energy and understanding this has enabled scientists to see new visions for the future, new ways to save energy and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.
All Wildscreenings are free; Subject to availability tickets can be collected from Box Office on the day of the screening. You can call Box Office on (0117) 927 5100, and reserve tickets but you must collect them on the day an hour before the start time of the screening.
NB: the advertised times are the actual starting times of each programme for all Wildscreenings.

A festival of film and music
We're mad about music and film. So much so we've created a new festival dedicated to this most enduring of relationships, and this month there's a focus on the music of the maestro Ennio Morricone.
