Wildscreenings: Galapagos: Born of Fire (Award Winner)
Please note: this is an old screening, first shown in Oct 2008
This series follows the lives of the islands through all their fascinating stages of development, revealing how creatures have found the most enterprising ways to get to grips with this restless Pacific outpost. Witness the dramatic eruption of the largets of all the Galapagos volcanoes, Sierra Negra, blowing smoke and ash 7 miles into the sky - marine iguanas, the world's only sea-going lizards, leaping off lava cliffs into treacherous surf – Galapagos giant tortoises, the largest in the world, being groomed by Darwin's finches...and the magical courtship of the waved albatross.

A festival of film and music
We're mad about music and film. So much so we've created a new festival dedicated to this most enduring of relationships, and this month there's a focus on the music of the maestro Ennio Morricone.
Live from the Berlinale
