Mali arguably produces the best music in Africa, and these stunning films travel an exhilarating journey through the country’s post-independence musical landscape. Live performances, including from the legendary Rail Band alongside demonstrations of traditional drumming and Malian guitar, feature a mix of Cuban, rock and soul influences laid over the firm grounding of Manding and Bambara musical traditions.
