LLGFF: Pedro

LLGFF: Pedro (15)

Diagnosed with HIV before even graduating high school, Pedro Zamora dedicated his remaining years to raising awareness and understanding of the disease. Openly gay, Pedro became a spokesperson for his community and won the hearts of millions through his stint on MTV’s ‘The Real World,’ before succumbing to AIDS at the age of 22. This moving biopic, written by Dustin Lance Black (Milk) and produced by Wash West and Richard Glatzer (The Fluffer, Echo Park, LA), features extraordinary performances from Alex Loynaz as Pedro and Justina Machado (‘Six Feet Under’) as his sister Mily.
