Activists and Revolutionaries: The Age of Stupid (12A)
Dir: Franny Armstrong
Cast: Pete Postlethwaite 89 mins, 2009, UK
Please note: this is an old screening, first shown in Nov 2009
This inventive futurist documentary imagines the world of 2055, wasted after years of human exploitation and neglect. Combining animated and dramatic elements with “historical” footage from 2007, it stars Pete Postlethwaite as an archivist sifting through the remains of civilisation to create a digital broadcast for the future about why humanity failed to save itself from global warming.
Tickets will be available online very soon.
