Mark Kermode - It's Only a Movie
Please note: this is an old event from Feb 2010
What happens when you spend most of your childhood in a cinema? Does it mean movies become more real than "real life"? Film critic Mark Kermode talks about some real life scenes that he remembers with cinematic clarity: getting shot at while interviewing Werner Herzog in Hollywood, being handbagged by Helen Mirren at the BAFTAs and being thrown out of the Cannes Film Festival for heckling in very bad French. Outspoken, opinionated, and never lost for words, Kermode gives an hilarious account of a life obsessed with film.
Following the event, Mark will be signing copies of his book.
Please note that this event has now sold out: contact Box Office 0117 927 5100 to join the waiting list.
Filmic
A festival of film and music
We're mad about music and film. So much so we've created a brand new festival dedicated to this most enduring of relationships, and it all kicks off this weekend with a special focus on the music of the maestro himself: Ennio Morricone.

Now Showing
Roman Polanski's latest sees two couples try to talk through a minor incident amicably - with quite the opposite result! A hysterically funny descent into some very, very enjoyable bad behaviour.
