1234 + Q&A (15)
Dir: Giles Borg
Cast: Matthew Baynton, Lyndsey Marshal 76 mins, 2008, UK
Please note: this is an old screening, first shown in March 2010
New British Cinema Quarterly is a new programme of distinctive and original films from British filmmakers. Selected from the UK's major film festivals, a new film will be screened each quarter and accompanied by a Q&A from the filmmakers involved. When bespectacled Stevie and call centre colleague/drummer extraordinaire Neil persuade the ambitious Billy and scatty Emily to start a new band, they set off on their journey to conquer the British indie scene. In addition to the fantastic soundtrack, Borg anchors 1234 with an authenticity that feels refreshingly natural, creating a heartwarming, honest and witty film.
With Q&A with stars Ian Bonar and Mathew Baynton, chaired by producer Paul Appleby.

A festival of film and music
