Cinékids: Monsters, Inc (U)
Dir: Pete Docter
96 mins, 2001, USA
Please note: this is an old screening, first shown in March 2010
We have a dinky Decalogue screening for young film fans from Pixar, those digital wizards who dominated the decade with their awesome animation. Cuddly, blue monster Sully and his one-eyed wise-cracking assistant Mike harvest the screams of children to generate energy. One day adorable little girl Boo escapes into their realm and begins to turn their world upside down - the monsters are scared of children! A gorgeously funny charmer from 2001 that proves that laughter is much more powerful than a scream.
Join us after the screening for a make-your-own monster workshop! (20 places only, first come first served).
Cinékids is for children between 8 and 12 years old. Fee: £2.00 per child/£3.50 adults (must be accompanied by a child).
Please call Box Office on 0117 927 5100 to book your tickets - tickets cannot be purchased online.
Decalogue is our new series of year-long events reflecting on cinema from 2000 - 09. Every month we select a film from each year which stands out as in some way redefining and shaping the second century of cinema.
