Très Tati: Mon Oncle (U) S
Dir: Jacques Tati
Cast: Jacques Tati, Jean-Pierre Zola 114 mins, 1958, France, Subtitled
Please note: this was screened in Aug 2010
Five years after Monsieur Hulot's Holiday was a huge success Tati returned to screens with Mon Oncle, his first colour film which picked up an Oscar® for Best Foreign Language Film. Hulot causes unintentional havoc when he is let loose in a plastics factory and in a sterile home full of gadgets. An inventive, warm satire on technology and efficiency that has relevance even today.
Très Tati Sunday Brunches
