Très Tati: Belleville Rendez-vous (12A)
Dir: Sylvain Chomet
Cast: Béatrice Bonifassi, Lina Boudreault 81 mins, 2003, France/Belgium/Canada
Please note: this was screened in Aug 2010
We are also screening Sylvian Chomet's debut, whose imaginative feel for characters, evident in The Illusionist (screening from Fri 20 Aug - Thu 2 Sept), first came to form here. Join Madame Souza on the hunt for her cyclist grandson held captive by the mafia in North America, in what is a tremendously entertaining homage to Tati's work.
The film will be introduced by Colin Rose, its Bristol-based producer.
Très Tati Sunday Brunches
