Festival of Ideas: What's The Blogging Story?
Please note: this is an old event from Oct 2010
An evening of debate with mainstream journalists and bloggers. Who can you trust when the new media meets the old?
What's the relationship between traditional and new media - the wired and the tired as some call them? Is blogging journalism? And who can you believe in this age of blogs, tweets and paywalls?
Join a panel of popular bloggers, Roy Greenslade (The Guardian), Donnacha Delong (NUJ Vice President), Sunny Hundal (Liberal Conspiracy), Brooke Magnanti (Belle du Jour), and Anton Vowl (Enemies of Reason and Mailwatch), Sarah Ditum (Paperhouse) and an audience of bloggers to determine who will dominate the future of news.
A Bristol Festival of Ideas event, in association with Bristol NUJ, the University of the West of England MediaAct project and MediaWise, as part of a weekend study of the impact of the blogosphere.
Fee: £7.00 / £5.00.

Showing Now
Roman Polanski's latest is a hysterically funny descent into some very, very enjoyable bad behaviour as two sets of parents try (and fail) to talk through an incident amicably.
