REACT: Heritage Sandbox Bristol Ideas Lab

REACT is a collaboration between the Universities of the West of England, Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter and Watershed Arts Trust. Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council as one of four UK Creative Economy hubs, REACT will generate economic and social impact by supporting partnerships between Arts and Humanities researchers and Creative Economy partners.

Heritage Sandbox is REACT's first call for ideas. We're looking to support six ground-breaking and adventurous collaborations that develop innovative experiences for the heritage sector. Projects could range from an interactive installation for a museum, a new way of navigating a theme park, or a location aware game for a stately home. The possibilities are vast.

To qualify for funding you must have a project that uses Arts and Humanities research with a Creative Economy partner.

The process of application involves participation in one of three half-day workshops and a written application. Workshops will take place in Exeter and Bristol. Dates for all events are here. Places are limited and so will be issued on a first come first served basis. Full details about the scheme, including the application form and overview are available here.

The workshop will give you an opportunity to learn more about the scheme, share and refine your idea (if you have one), get inspired and meet potential collaborators. Heritage Sandbox will seek to support shared learning, creative collaboration and brilliant ideas. The workshops are designed to support these objectives.

This is an invitation to the Bristol Ideas Lab. Tickets are free. By registering for a place on this workshop, you are agreeing to adhere to the IP and Confidentiality principles set out here.

The Bristol Ideas Lab is now sold out. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please contact Watershed Box Office on 0117 927 5100 and we will do our best to accommodate you.
