Artists Talk: Jen Southern and Laura Sillars
Please note: this is an old event from Jan 2012
Join us for an in conversation discussion between artist Jen Southern and Laura Sillars, Director of Site Gallery. This talk will introduce Southern's new work Polyrhythmia, a participatory audio installation developed through Sound and Music's Embedded Residency at Pervasive Media Studio. Join us to experience a live demonstration of the work, learn more about the project and the challenge of using GPS to sonify movement. Supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
Reserve your free place online or through Box Office on 0117 927 5100 and collect your ticket on the day at least 20mins before the advertised time. The event will take place in Watershed, Cinema 3.
This event will be followed at 19:30 by The Beauty of Digital: New technologies, old aesthetics and where the two meet - a free event at Pervasive Media Studio, in which a panel of digital creatives share their experiences of the interplay between old and new, followed by an audience Q&A. Introduced by Chris Sharratt, Editor of Creative Times.
The Pervasive Media Studio is now located within the Watershed building. Let us know if you'd like a tour of the new space and we'll be happy to show you around! Send an email to jason@pmstudio.co.uk
