Last year Encounters joined 14 other festivals who present the short film nominations for the European Film Academy.. This programme is the first of four screenings in partnership with the European Film Academy that showcase the 15 nominated films for the 2011 awards, including the Bristol Nomination Derby by Romanian director Paul Negoescu. Danish film Berik and Incident By A Bank from Sweden have also graced the Watershed screen before.
