Dog[LAB]02: show‘n’ tell
Please note: this is an old event from Feb 2006
Digital artist France Cadet has been in residence at UWE, developing a multi-robot artwork called Dog[LAB]02. This installation/ performance features a series of different robotic animals, made by hacking popular cyber-toys. The piece raises questions about contemporary experiments in biotechnology such as cloning. France will show the work-in-progress and talk about its development with Dylan Evans, Senior Lecturer in Intelligent Autonomous Systems at UWE.
Read France’s journal about the development process at www.dshed.net/doglab02
The residency is a result of a grant secured by UWE from the Leverhulme Trust.
Fee: £3.00 full / £2.00 concessions.
