Inspired by Derek Jarman, one of the most innovative, esteemed and controversial artists of the 20th Century, the Jarman Award recognises UK-based artist filmmakers whose work, like Jarman's, resists convention and stretches boundaries. The winner will receive a £10,000 cash prize and a commission to produce a short film for Random Acts, Channel 4's arts strand. Three further artists will also be selected for Random Acts commissions. Join Film London and Watershed for these two special screenings that showcase the brilliant work of the artist filmmakers shortlisted for this year's award.
Watch out for the winner who will be announced at a special event on Mon 8 Dec at the Whitechapel Gallery in London.
