Northern Soul is the story of the 1970s youth culture that changed a generation and influenced songwriters, producers, DJs and designers for decades to come. It follows the authentic and uplifting story of two young Northern men whose worlds are changed forever when they discover black American music. No longer satisfied with the prospect of a small town life and a factory production line, they dreams of going to America to discover the super rare records that will help them to become the scene's number one DJs. Along the way, their journey forces the two best friends to confront rivalry, violence and drug abuse as their friendship and loyalties are tested to the limit.
