Paper Electronics - The Ancient Meets the Old Meets the New
Lunchtime Talks
Please note: This event took place in April 2016
Lunchtime Talks are a series of informal presentations at Watershed's Pervasive Media Studio. They normally take place at 13:00 on a Friday, are free and are open to everybody who is interested in what they do. Come along, bring a sandwich, and get to know more about the Studio community, current and up-coming projects, or residents' work.
Becca Rose is a designer and educator making work at the intersection of folk-art, craft, and technology. She is currently resident at Makerversity, Somerset House. Becca designs playful curriculum and tools for learning, as well as working on design projects in education and community contexts.
In this Lunchtime Talk, Becca will share her approach to making a hybrid paper and digital book, which was initially developed at Ideo (London) and currently part of the MV Works programme. Becca will talk about the story-making process, designing for learning, and her perspective on technology in education. There will also be a book-in-progress to play with!
The Pervasive Media Studio is located within the Watershed building. Let us know if you'd like a tour and we'll be happy to show you around. Send an email to admin@pmstudio.co.uk
