Life is One tells the story of three orphan sun bear cubs from Indonesia and their return to the wild, from the perspective of their foster parent who helped them grow to reach independence. Viewers are placed in total immersion with the bears of the rainforest and will delight in how beautiful, joyful and energetic they are. This is a tribute to life on Earth; a reminder that all forms of life are inextricably connected and that we owe respect to those with whom we share the planet.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director Patrick Rouxel.

Nominated for the Creative Innovation Award, France, 52mins, Tawak Pictures

The screening will be preceded by the showing of Pangolin, a short film that gives us an intimate glimpse into the journey of a single pangolin; from the moment it's taken from the wild to its final destination in China. Filmed on location across three countries with the help of reformed poachers, we see the life, death and afterlife of the most illegally trafficked mammal on the planet.

Nominated for the Short Award Philippines, 13mins Coral & Oak Studios, co-produced with the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development
