Inspired by a statue of King Harold in the arms of his first wife Edith Swan-Neck (who it is said identified her husband's body following the Battle of Hastings in 1066), director Andrew Kötting journeys 108 miles on foot from Waltham Abbey in Essex to St Leonards-on-Sea in East Sussex, where the sculpture is situated.

Accompanied by regular collaborator writer Iain Sinclair, singer Claudia Barton (dressed as Edith), drummer David Aylward, and Jem Finer, former member of The Pogues, the troupe steadfastly make their way, taking only occasional breaks, including one memorable conversation with writer and occultist Alan Moore. Featuring some entrancing camerawork from the inimitable Tony Hill, this experimental documentary relishes as much in the eccentric as the historic.
