Day: Ten Drummers Drumming

During 'Activities Week', July 10th - 14th, children in years 4 and 5 were invited to take part in the project with Mrs Smith and Mrs Green.

All children started research to prepare for the artwork using books, the internet, CD Rom and the school drum collection. James Williams Khan, who had just joined a marching band, played his drum in assembly.

Ideas were recorded individually as pencil sketches and using various media, and generally children liked the idea of using the traditional drummer boy for the main picture.
