Future Producers 2012

Watershed’s 2012 Future Producers were a group of 16 talented young people from Bristol, hand-picked from over 70 applicants. Together they cooked up Fresh Flix, a film and cross art-form strand, curated in collaboration with Encounters, for kids, young people and their families that ran throughout Autumn 2012 culminating in the launch of Electric December, Watershed's digital advent calendar.

This select group devised the Fresh Flix 2012 programme from scratch, resulting in a fantastic variety of activities and events to engage our young audience and their families. The group devised activities to follow the screenings, exploring the subject matter and tying the programme in with highlights of the Watershed programme, such as Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival and the French Film Festival.

Quilting workshops, unique director's panels and family-friendly tattoo parlours: this video above explores the diverse and exciting events the Future Producers dreamed up and delivered, or you can read up on the programme itself on the Fresh Flix page.
