It&#8217;s not always easy to know where to start though. From finding the right platform and people to pitch yourself to, through to understanding what the commissioning team need from you, navigating the world of commissioned content can be tricky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To help unpack these questions and more, we&#8217;ll be joined by Katie Metcalfe, film programmer and Video Commissioner at the online platform NOWNESS, who will be speaking to Qezz Gill about her experiences commissioning filmmakers and how the whole process works. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And if you&#8217;re looking for more specific inspiration, Katie will also get into some of the recent examples of content that she&#8217;s commissioned, discussing what made those filmmakers and ideas stand out to her and how they went from idea to final, published footage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This event will be made available to watch on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCORy73cykkWz-Xn4ZoZljwA\/\">YouTube channel <\/a>and on this page. Alongside her programming work, Katie has been a Video Commissioner at global video platform NOWNESS since 2016 where she has commissioned editorial films across fashion, art and culture as well as branded content for clients\u202fsuch as Valentino, Adidas, Farfetch and Nanushka.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About Qezz Gill:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Pakistani born Visual Creator living in Bristol, Qezz&#8217;s work centres Storytelling in the form of video\/image\/audio along with Strategy and Creative Direction. She uses her lens as a tool to redefine what it means to be a young ethnic creator in the sector right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Camerawork, text and design are always at the forefront of Qezz&#8217;s work.
