Inside Screen is an all-day event for people aged 16-25 looking to build their networks and pick up insights to help them navigate the screen industries, whether that\u2019s TV, film or immersive works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With screenings of recent BFI NETWORK-funded short films, a line-up of very special guest speakers, and a chance to network with your peers and industry professionals, Inside Screen is a day for you to get inspired, get connected and take that next step in your career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A selection of the latest BFI NETWORK funded shorts made by filmmakers based in the South West. Followed by a Q&A with BFI NETWORK- backed producer and director, Alysha Crystal and Shakira Newton. Hosted by BFI NETWORK Talent Executive Jess Wheeler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funding Your Short Film Panel<\/strong> Waterside 3, 15:00 \u2013 15:45<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A panel discussion about finding funding for your short film, whether that\u2019s through a public funding body or a crowdfunder. We will chat about writing a great funding application and being creative in sourcing money. We will be joined by BFI NETWORK Talent Executive Jess Wheeler, Slick Films CEO Chris Overton, Euella Jackson and hosted by Ella McDonald (Talent, Communications & Outreach Coordinator at Watershed).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Networking Workshop<\/strong> Waterside 3, 16:00 \u2013 17:15<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dread the idea of networking? This workshop will help you build your confidence and learn effective networking techniques to develop relationships that will benefit you both personally and professionally. We will begin with a brief workshop and then dive straight into putting those skills intro practice. Join a whole host of screen industry professionals from producers, commissioners and DoPs to curators and marketeers at this networking session. This is a great chance to meet fellow creatives, pitch your ideas and pick the brains of regional industry professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
