    Tyneside Cinema

    Based in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyneside Cinema opened on 1st February 1937. Currently based in Gateshead Old Town Hall while the Pilgrim Street venue in Newcastle is being given the big Heritage Lottery treatment, Tyneside Cinema not only screens a range of contemporary and classic films, it organises the Northern Lights Film Festival and develops a range of education and outreach work.
