BFI Film Academy Bristol
The film and television industry in the UK is thriving but a skills shortage and lack of diversity within the sector threaten to undermine it's future. The BFI Film Academy identifies and nurtures young talent to help the sector continue to thrive.
The Last Blues Song of a Lost Afronaut
An immersive theatre piece, developed as part of our 2016 Artist in Residence programme, in which protagonist Afronaut Femi travels through space in search of life on other planets.
Playable City puts people and play at the heart of the future city, re-using city infrastructure and re-appropriating smart city technologies to create connections – person to person, person to city.

Film Hub South West
Watershed is the regional Hub Lead Organisation for the BFI’s Film Audience Network initiative to develop audiences for a broader range of film. We work with cinemas, film exhibitors and distributors across the South West to promote great British and international independent cinema.
Depict, Watershed’s short filmmaking competition, has been challenging filmmakers since 1998 to make 90-second mini movie masterpieces.
