Tom is a theatre maker and director from Bristol. He creates work through award-winning theatre company, MECHANIMAL.

The company’s work explores fresh narratives of a changing planet Earth, touring shows both in the UK and internationally. 

Current projects include 'Megalith', an exploration into deep time and copper mining (Bristol University / FAMOS / Natural History Museum London); and 'Ghost Sonata', an exploration of Arctic Sea ice Loss (Nordic Kulturfonden / Kone Foundation Finland / Nordic Culture Point).   

Recent productions include 'Zugunruhe' (Herald Angel Award, Edinburgh Fringe 2018), 'Vigil' (Summerhall Lustrum Award, Edinburgh 2019) and 'Possession' (D-CAF international festival, Cairo).  

Previously, Tom was artist in residence with The National Trust, during which he created 'Nightwalk' at Bristol Mayfest in 2014 and 2015. He has also held a Leverhulme Artist residency at University College London, and an artist residency at Bristol University.
