In this week's Lunchtime Talk, Catherine Allen, Studio resident and co-founder and CEO of Limina Immersive will talk about her work developing audiences for VR programmes and share the findings from her Beyond the Early Adopter report, which was recently published by Nesta's Policy and Evidence Centre, with Cardiff University.
When it comes to creative technology experiences, many potential audience members still face significant barriers to entry, Catherine will outline these barriers and some key principles to overcoming them, drawing on Limina Immersive’s four years of audience research and experiences of presenting public virtual reality programmes.
Catherine is a BAFTA-winning, immersive media specialist and one of the UK's leading experts on wider public adoption of creative immersive technology. Based in Bristol, her company, Limina Immersive has partnered with a range of leading universities to best understand immersive media from an audience member's perspective. Her insight has fed back to the sector, shaped policy and featured in publications including The Guardian, BBC Today Programme and The Sunday Times.
