Lunchtime Talks

Talk

Please note: This event took place in Oct 2014

Lunchtime Talks are a series of informal presentations at Watershed's Pervasive Media Studio. They normally take place at 13:00 on a Friday, are free and are open to everybody who is interested in what they do. Come along, bring a sandwich, and get to know more about the Studio community, current and up-coming projects, or residents' work.

Today's Lunchtime Talk is guest programmed by Creative Technologist David Haylock.

We will be joined by Nick Davies, CEO of startup Neighbourly, a new social network which connects community projects and charities with companies ready to help. Neighbourly are based in Bristol's SETsquared incubator and will be popping over to share insights, recent case studies and some solutions that help deliver change-at-scale.

Nick tells us, "it's increasingly clear to global citizens that business needs to change. Companies have a simple choice to make - be part of the problem or part of the solution. Many feel that consumers now have sufficient influence to challenge the very existence of organisations not making a meaningful difference for society and planet."

Join us at this talk to explore these issues and more!

The Pervasive Media Studio is located within the Watershed building. Let us know if you'd like a tour and we'll be happy to show you around. Send an email to admin@pmstudio.co.uk
