Playing out like a deadly game of hide and seek, this deep thriller shines a light on the current fears around the perils of social media and privacy in contemporary Japan. When 15-year-old Saori sees her elder brother arrested in conjunction with a shocking murder, she is forced into a police protection programme to escape the journalistic hoardes and ensuing media firestorm. With tensions running high it falls upon Detective Katsuura to protect Saori and her family from an increasingly vengeful and vigilante-minded online community as they seek to expose the family’s personal information, as well as their every move.
