Lunchtime Talks

Talk

Please note: This event took place in Feb 2015

Lunchtime Talks are a series of informal presentations at Watershed's Pervasive Media Studio. They normally take place at 13:00 on a Friday, are free and are open to everybody who is interested in what they do. Come along, bring a sandwich, and get to know more about the Studio community, current and up-coming projects, or residents' work.

In this weeks talk REACT producer Katherine Jewkes will be discussing how different digital technologies can be used to enhance and enliven creative Productions.

Before joining the Watershed team Katherine was Digital Associate at National Theatre Wales, where she looked after the creative use of Digital within Productions. She is currently working with creative practitioners, academics and a team of young coaches on Play Sandbox, as well as thinking more broadly about how Watershed can celebrate and support all the projects that have been through the REACT process. In this talk she will be discussing some of her previous collaborations, including creating online reimaginings of the Strangest town in Wales, R&D into playable data collection, and the pros and cons of livestreaming from trains and mountainsides.

The Pervasive Media Studio is located within the Watershed building. Let us know if you'd like a tour and we'll be happy to show you around. Send an email to admin@pmstudio.co.uk
